Cathy Holloway Hill is a Certified Career Consultant & Life Coach, and she resides in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
In addition to her work as a Career Consultant & Life Coach, Cathy also has corporate experience with two Fortune 100 companies. Recently, Cathy walked away from a lucrative 6-figure corporate career as a Senior Network Engineering Project Manager for Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky, to focus on her life’s purpose of enhancing and advancing the lives of others. Cathy’s strong spiritual upbringing, and her belief that God is directing her toward a higher purpose, was the driving force to move her out of corporate America. Her professional experience in the male-dominated technology industry affords her the ability to speak from the heart on many topics related to career and life success. During her career, she has been recognized with numerous awards for outstanding leadership, communications, project management, and service. She is also involved in, and a member of, many national organizations, i.e., Professional Woman Network, National Writer’s Association, National Association of Women Writers, National Speakers Association, National Association of Women Business Owners, eWomenNetwork, and Toastmasters International. She has conducted Seminars, Workshops, and Motivational presentations to numerous organizations.
Cathy hosts a live Radio Talk Show every Wednesday entitled, "Living By Design". This radio talk show focuses on self, health, and wealth to enhance and advance the lives of women. Cathy's co-host, Mr. Tony Lamont is an icon in the broadcasting industry. Mr. Lamont, a radio and TV personality, has conducted numerous celebrity interviews, including President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, Senator Barak Obama, Senator Hilary Clinton, and countless A-list celebrities in the entertainment, sports, and music industries. Cathy’s talk show airs each Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. est.
Throughout her career, Cathy has been asked to moderate, facilitate, and conduct workshops for various Corporate events. Cathy has worked for two Fortune 100 Companies (IBM and Brown-Forman Corporation) in Engineering, Consultant, Leadership, and Managerial roles. During her career, she has been a mentor within both organizations, and has successfully helped thousands of young women create their life and career plans.
For two consecutive years, Cathy was recognized as the Black Achiever of the Year within the Community. This award recognizes African-American professionals for their career accomplishments and commitment to mentoring young people. Cathy has also been recognized in Who’s Who Black Louisville and many corporate leadership mentoring programs.
Cathy graduated high school at the very young age of 16. She attended Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky, where she was awarded a B.S. degree in Computer Science. Soon afterwards, she began her technical career at IBM Corporation. Cathy has been involved in leadership development, management training, and mentoring programs at both IBM and Brown-Forman Corporation. She has received professional certifications in voice communications, wide area network design, ITIL, Project Management, and Leadership. Cathy is also certified in Life Coaching, Career Consulting, Women’s Issues and Diversity Training, Branding and Imaging, Customer Service and Professionalism, and Public Speaking. Cathy strives to maintain a high level of excellence. Her favorite quote is; “Life is Not About Finding Yourself, It’s About Creating Yourself”.
Giving back is what drives Cathy. She believes that one word and one action could be the seed that becomes the fruit of hope that gives young people the understanding of how to plant, nourish & harvest their own dreams.
Cathy writes a “teen girls” advice column for PositiveSpin Magazine and is also a “baby boomer” column writer at Women’s Online Magazine. She writes for numerous local and regional magazines, and is a Premier Coach candidate for eWomenNetwork. Cathy is co-authoring three books with the Professional Woman Network entitled “The Baby Boomer’s Handbook”, “Life Skills for the African American Woman” and “A Journey Within: Self-Discovery for Women”.
